Text Box:     Betty Robin October 18, 1934 - February 23, 2010 Beloved four-year pilgrim Betty Robin passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2010.  The Pilgrimage-Retreat Family is greatly saddened at her loss.  Betty was a warm, compassionate, joy-filled person.  She is best remembered for her loving heart, her ever-present-smile … and her awesome peanut brittle.  She was very much loved by her fellow pilgrims, and will continue to hold a special place in our hearts.  May the Lord look kindly on Betty's soul, and bring comfort and peace to her family, friends, and all who loved her much.uch.

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

 

 

 

 

                                           

Text Box:         3-Year Pilgrim Ann Fitzgerald went to a doctor on January 13 because she had been experiencing some unexplained dizziness.   The doctor found some considerable hearing loss in Ann's left ear that was unexplainable.  So he ordered an MRI and some blood tests.  The MRI showed some "lesions," therefore Ann was called back for a second "clarifying" MRI on January 15.  Please keep Ann and husband Terry (3 Year Pilgrim) in your prayers. UPDATE: TWO NON-CANCEROUS LESIONS WERE DISCOVERED ON ANN'S BRAIN. SHE WAS REFERRED TO A BRAIN SURGEON. THE SURGEON LOOKED AT THE M.R.I. AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS AN INOPERABLE GANGLIA ON ANN'S BRAIN STEM.  THE ONLY WAY TO TREAT THIS WOULD BE WITH RADIATION.  ANN SAYS THAT THE DOCTOR TOLD HER THAT: "THIS IS ONE IN A MILLION."  AFTER CONFERRING WITH A "WORLD FAMOUS" RADIOLOGIST, THE PHYSICIANS CONCLUDED THAT IT WAS NOT ARTERIAL AND WOULD NOT TEND TO BLEED (WHICH IS A GOOD THING); AND THAT THE GANGLIA HAD PROBABLY BEEN THERE SINCE BIRTH.  THE GROWTH WILL BE  MONITORED AND ANOTHER M.R.I. WILL BE PERFORMED IN 3-4 MONTHS.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ANN'S HEALING.
